Our first and foremost advice – use only the truck engine. It will always be the cleanest engine on the vehicle. Thanks to electric and hydraulic technology, all Hultsteins solutions are diesel-free, and we offer refrigeration units for distribution vehicles, truck and trailer and tractors and trailers. Whichever solution you choose, it will reduce both fuel consumption and environmental impact.

The hydraulic generator Ecogen, is widely used throughout the UK and Europe. It can be retrofitted easily to any truck with an engine PTO (power take off) and will drive all marques of conventional diesel fridge units on electric standby, from any of the major manufacturers.

Ecogen, is an ideal solution for anyone running older refrigeration units still working perfectly fine. It will help extend it’s life by at least two years, all the while, cutting harmful emissions.
